RIT’s Division of Diversity and Inclusion held its Celebration of Excellence program in Ingle Auditorium last month. DDI presented Beacon Awards to students, staff, faculty, and alumni in recognition of their work to enhance diversity and inclusion both on and off the RIT campus. Student organizations honored their peers. Keith Jenkins, DDI vice president and associate provost also presented special awards to RIT leaders and partners who are making a difference. Entertainment was provided by NTID Masquers Drama Club and the Asian Culture Society.

Alumni Beacon Award: Aqua Porter, MBA ’96, Executive Director Rochester Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative

Global Union: The Oluwaseyi Onifade Community and Compassion Award presented to Bishop Oparaugo
